PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (Job ID: 2241)

Terra Health, a national government healthcare employer, is proud to partner with our nation’s Military Entrance Processing Stations or (MEPS), and currently seeking a handful of dedicated civilian PRN Physician Assistants to provide medical support for our Honolulu MEPS station. Job Requirements: Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license from any state and be privileged by the USMEPCOM Command Surgeon. All current and past state licenses shall be unencumbered. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Committee on Certification Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required. All PAs must complete 100 Continuing Medical Education Credits during any two year period, therefore the requirement for PA supervision by a physician is waived when working at the MEPS. Possess a current certification of Basic Life Support Training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross training for Healthcare Providers.

MED ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST I/II-Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Job ID 335749)

The Medical Assesssment Specialist plans, organizes, coordinates and implements the medical assessment activities of the City’s centralized occupational medical assessment program in accordance with established policies, procedures, goals and objectives; performs pre-employment and periodic physical examinations of prospective and current employees and assesses their physical and medical ability to perform the essential functions and job requirements of the assigned position; and performs other related duties as required. Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university; graduation from a school or training program approved by the Hawaii Board of Medical Examiners for licensure as a Physician Assistant, or possession of a master's degree in clinical nursing or nursing science recognized by the Hawaii Board of Medical Examiners for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (A.P.R.N.) in the practice specialty area of Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.Four years of work experience which involved the performance of direct medical examinations and assessments of individual health conditions and participation in planning, organizing, coordinating, or implementing medical assessment activities in a medical program. Registered Nurse (RN) (Job ID 2012-125)

Applies the nursing process through assessment, formulating nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating plans of care for assigned patients, following established standards of nursing practice as delineated by the Medical Center . Qualifications and Requirements
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required. Minimum one (1) year critical care nursing experience required. Completion of basic critical care nursing course, or equivalent required. Basic Life Support (BLS), Level C certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required after one (1) year in the critical care unit, recertification once every two years.
