Welcome to the Hawaii Pre-Health Career Corps! The Hawaii Pre-Health Career Corps is a free year-round program for high school and college students who are interested in a career in health. Its purpose is to increase awareness about health careers, provide mentoring, shadowing and research experiences, and provide campus exposure to health careers.

This program is for students who live in Hawaii or have ties to Hawaii (ex: students who attended high school in Hawaii but now attend college on the mainland). Button takes a while to load, but it’s worth it!!

Upon completing the free online application, Corps staff will contact you about exciting opportunities for our members!

As Corps members, students will be able to:

  • Shadow healthcare professionals
  • Participate in medical simulations and demonstrations
  • Visit health professions campuses, including UH Manoa’s John A Burns School of Medicine
  • Receive free SAT/ACT/MCAT preparation and mentoring
  • Get placed up with a career mentor
  • Gain valuable research experience
  • Receive resources for career navigation, including a Health Career Navigator book
  • Volunteer with health care professionals in their fields of interest
  • Participate in Teen Health Camps
  • Be a part of a group support system to enable you to pursue your dream career!
